Download the app and enter your receipt number
- Download USCIS Case Tracker from the Google Play Store (iOS coming soon).
- Tap the + button and enter your USCIS receipt number — it starts with 3 letters followed by 10 digits (e.g. EAC2490123456).
- You can find your receipt number on the I-797 Notice of Action that USCIS mailed you, or in your USCIS online account.
- Add a label like "Green Card" or "EAD Renewal" to keep track of multiple cases easily.
We check automatically, every 30 minutes
- Once added, the app polls the USCIS case status API every 30 minutes — even when you're not using your phone.
- This is done entirely in the background using background fetch technology. You don't need to keep the app open.
- You can adjust the polling interval in Settings (30 or 60 minutes).
- Each check is compared against your last known status using a secure hash. We only alert you when something actually changes.
Get a push notification the moment your status changes
- When your case status changes, you receive an instant push notification with the new status.
- Tap the notification to open the case detail screen, which shows the full new status in plain English.
- Every status change is saved to your case history so you can see the complete timeline from receipt to decision.
